KGMU OPD Schedule 2026: Doctor List, Timings, Units & Clinics

The KGMU OPD schedule is department-specific. Some departments publish a straightforward weekday doctor roster, others rotate units, and several add specialty clinics or separate follow-up days. Use the Schedule Finder for the current structured roster, then read the department guide when you need the context behind that timetable.

Check KGMU OPD schedule

Choose a department for which a current structured schedule has been verified. Then narrow the result by weekday, unit, clinic or doctor where KGMU publishes those details.

Select a department to load its verified recurring KGMU OPD schedule.

Results are the latest recurring schedule stored in this guide, not live attendance or public-holiday confirmation.

KGMU doctor list: why one hospital-wide list is not enough

A faculty directory and an OPD roster are different. A faculty page can contain doctors who are not all scheduled for routine OPD on the same day. For patient planning, the useful question is: which doctor/unit/clinic is normally listed for this department on this weekday?

Different KGMU departments use different schedule patterns

Neurology

General OPD on selected weekdays plus Wednesday specialty clinics organized by week of the month.

Orthopaedic Surgery

Six units with separate Main OPD and Follow-Up OPD days, plus specialty clinics.

Urology

Monday–Saturday roster with named doctors, 9 AM–2 PM, New OPD fourth floor.

Medical Gastroenterology

Gastro Clinic and Hepato Clinic pattern, Monday–Saturday, 9 AM–4 PM, New OPD.

Respiratory Medicine

Unit I/II/III rotation plus multiple specialty clinics.

Ophthalmology

Unit I, II and III rotation in Old OPD.

Psychiatry

Adult unit rotation plus specialty clinics and a separate Clinical Psychology schedule.

Pediatrics

General Pediatrics plus specialty clinics that can use different locations.

Cardiology

Unit I/II rotation Monday–Saturday at Lari Cardiology, with emergency duty handled separately.

KGMU OPD on Saturday

Saturday OPD depends on the department. Urology, Ophthalmology, Respiratory Medicine, Pediatrics and Cardiology publish Saturday outpatient activity, while Neurosurgery currently lists no routine Saturday OPD. Check the department rather than relying on a general “KGMU is open Saturday” answer.

KGMU OPD timing

There is no reliable single timing for every KGMU OPD. Urology runs 9 AM–2 PM, Medical Gastroenterology 9 AM–4 PM, Neurosurgery 9 AM–1 PM on its routine weekdays, and Psychiatry 9 AM–2 PM on working days. Where no universal timing is confirmed for a department, this guide leaves the field unconfirmed instead of applying a generic number.

Main OPD, follow-up OPD and specialty clinic: understand the label

Main OPD

The unit’s primary outpatient session. Orthopaedic Surgery is a clear example where a unit has a designated Main OPD day.

Follow-Up OPD

A separate day intended for returning patients already linked with that unit. A returning Orthopaedic patient should not automatically attend the unit’s Main OPD day.

Specialty clinic

A narrower clinic such as Epilepsy, Hepato, ILD, Pediatric Neurology or another service published by the department. Follow the clinic written on the KGMU record rather than treating every clinic as interchangeable.

How to use a KGMU doctor schedule for follow-up

  1. Read the previous KGMU prescription for department, unit or clinic.
  2. Check the written return date.
  3. Use the Schedule Finder to confirm the recurring weekday pattern.
  4. Check the patient-facing location for that service.
  5. Keep the latest hospital instruction as the final reference if it conflicts with an older recurring timetable.

KGMU OPD schedule today

A “today” result on this site means scheduled for this weekday according to the latest recurring roster stored in the guide. It does not mean the doctor has checked in, that the clinic is open on a holiday, or that there has been no same-day duty change.

Department-wise KGMU OPD examples

Neurology

Use the weekday roster for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday needs the week-of-month specialty-clinic information.

Orthopaedics

Select the unit first when you are a returning patient, then distinguish Main OPD from Follow-Up OPD.

Respiratory Medicine

Unit I runs Tuesday/Friday, Unit II Monday/Thursday and Unit III Wednesday/Saturday; specialty clinics are a separate layer.

Ophthalmology

Routine OPD is in Old OPD, with Unit II Monday/Thursday, Unit III Tuesday/Friday and Unit I Wednesday/Saturday.

Before travelling for a KGMU OPD

How to read week-of-month specialty clinics

Some schedules use terms such as 1st Wednesday, 2nd Wednesday or 3rd Wednesday. This means the clinic depends on the occurrence of that weekday within the month, not merely the calendar date. Neurology is the clearest example in the current dataset.

Why a doctor name can disappear from a date

Recurring rosters can change because of leave, operating-room duty, emergency responsibility, academic work or department changes. Use the schedule to plan the normal pattern, but keep a date-specific appointment or written KGMU instruction as the higher-priority document.

KGMU follow-up schedule for outstation patients

If you are travelling from another district or state, check four things together: the exact department, the recurring day/unit/clinic, the patient-facing location and the date-specific appointment or follow-up note. This reduces the risk of travelling on the wrong unit day.

Several departments publish Saturday OPD, but not every department does.

Can I search KGMU doctors by name?

Use the finder where named doctors are part of the verified recurring roster.
